This website and the restoration of the Bug are dedicated in memory of my father, Richard W. Rew Sr. Without his help I never would have gotten the Bug originally nor would I have been able to move it from place to place in the years following the fire before I bought my house. Dad owned several Bugs and aircooled Volkswagens in his life including a ’74 Super Beetle. (When I was little I used to climb in the storage area behind the back seat of that Bug to sleep) and a 412 station wagon. If it wasn’t for him this restoration would not have been possible.
